    @Cincyrob,

    Perhaps Slysoft is aware of the error on certain systems. I guess your system is more possessed than mine LOL Most likely their next update will resolve the issue. I have lots of faith in them.

    I'll let you get back on track to the Nero Scans :)

    @mackdl
    i did send slysoft a email about my problem. its just odd i have 2 computers i can burn on now and my newest one is the one haveing the problem.i think the older puter (it dont have internet service on it) has a older version of anydvd on it, and it has been awhile since anydvd has had a update...so who knows maybe a update will fix the problem...heck i should uninstall anydvd and reinstall a older version seeing i have saved all the updates when i get them....

    hell if i cant get the movie to rip or burn i cant do a scan on it..lol besides its all about helping each other not just about scans in my eyes.. thanks

    Yeah I'm stumped on your problem too - conflict maybe somewhere?
    Keep us posted in what SlySoft says.

    The first half hour plays fine, with a few distortions, but soon after (around the hour mark) it keeps freezing up. After that it usually hangs then my DVD player says it can't read the disc any longer.
    In short: Not by a long shot!

    Edit: There's a new driver for my DVD drive? Who knew. Thanks for it!

    I used Ritek GO5's for awhile until the quality of the discs went down hill. The printable ones were the worst. You could see the bad burn spots on the back of the disc.

    No problemo on the firmware link :)

    Here comes one of my most trusted media (Hitachi Maxell "MIJ") beside genuine Taiyo Yuden.

    I noticed that many scans here do not show Jitter results at all.... is it the drive that does not support this test with Nero Speed test?

    Neither of my Lite-On drives will support the jitter test, CincyRob reports that his won't even run when that box is checked, mine run but show no results.

    I've done some testing with other media lying around:

    Sony AccuCore 16x/1x DVD-R Not quite I had expected (bought it from general store):
    [IMG]

    TDK DVD+R 1-16x I personally don't like this media (bought it from general store):
    [IMG]

    Imation DVD+R... err surprised? (bought it from local supermarket):

    I have a few more medias at home, I'll test them after my exams.

    @blivetNC
    i see your scan there you didnt booktype?
    ive noticed on my new printable verbs i havent set it to booktype and some how they come out booktyped to dvd-rom. i used the booktype135 program that binkie told me about for the liteon, the first 5 or 6 disc i set it but since then i havent touched it. who know? the problems im haveing with this stuff right now, something good happening for me is a blessing...lol

    @Binkie7
    you would have gotten that 95 if it wasnt for that one spot, that spike that went to 3(pif)

    Yeah but I'll still take the 93 :)
    I did try burning a +R w/ Clone and it did not booktype it.
    I'm curious on how you got the booktype w/ it and w/o the utility running.

    @binkie7.
    i know i did this the lastime i used clone and it booktyped without me useing the utility on it... i ripped the movie to my HD then copied from there. i normally dont do that but it did booktype it to dvd-rom. is there a setting in that booktypeing utility that let you do it automatic???i dont know? when i do open it where you select the bookytype since the first couple times i did it, it is allways in the dvd-rom mode i dont have to choose it like i did the first couple times

    You know - now that I think about it I've never used the booktype utility on this drive (older LiteOn used it). Nero just automatically booktype types it.
    Hmmm better try the utility 1st :)

    since ive gotten the 8x+r printable verbs i just keep forgetting to use the utility to booktype. i just open clonedvd2 and let it do its thing.they have every time come out as dvd-rom. IMHO i think the newer dirve does it automaticly.i may be wrong but i know ikeep forgetting to set it up to booktype.
