    @Ripper
    We'll let you slide for now :0) (since you do a great job in the nero forum can't get too heavy on ya!)

    @pahick
    Just looking at the 1st scan would look like the disc won't play at all. Show how reliable they really are :)
    Love Tombstone - watched that one quite a few times!

    @IHoe
    The # is front has something to do w/ the port & position the drive in connected on I think. Here's the same disc scanned on 2 diff drives. The #'s in mine show the LiteOn on Port 1 as master and the Pioneer on Port 1 as slave.

    ok..... I'm confused now Binkie! Before I updated my firmware for my BenQ drive the #s were 3:5, after the firmware update and scans for October the #s were 3:3 and now todays scan is 3:4! Just to let you know that my BenQ is an external....... how come the change in #s?

    I was pretty happy with these, considering I couldn't hardly use these before I finally figured out that Liteons smartburn was the problem. After I disabled that I can am burning with these beautifully.

    Edit-now that I finally figured out how linking works here. lol.

    @Ripper and cincyrob
    If you notice same disc - 2 different drives - different score. The Pioneer has higher PIE & PIF failures yet scores higher.
    Even though I set the read speeds at 8x it never achieved that like the LiteOn did. But the Pioneer hasn't had any new firmware updates in awhile so the MCC04 may be confusing it :0)

    @IHoe
    I know what my numbers stand for :0).
    That's what happens when you try to show off w/ a 99.8 score (hehe)

    @rcgamer
    Good scan - I'd be happy with it too!

    @Binkie..... not showing off ....... just showing how good my Philips 8631, my well worn Philips burner is doing! now I'm breaking in that BenQ 1655 doing more of the backups on that one! I know my Philips too well! but my BenQ loves the +Rs better than the -Rs!

    I never get good scores, but my movies are always good quality. Most of my scores are between 0 and 30. I burn my DVD-R's from 6x to 8x. The media I used is TY 8x DVD-R purchased from Supermediastore.com. Any way I can get my scores up to 90 or above?

    Thanks

    LOL - we all know the scans are great eye candy :)

    The true test is playback and the ability to rerip months or years later.

    @krzn65
    Can't read the make, model and firmware from the scan (little too small for my eyes).
    May just need a firmware update.

    Burning at 8x or overburning these at 12x by any chance?

    edit to add: Ignore the last question krzn65 - you have the burn speed in your post (I'm going blind!) sorry !

    @binkie...... that 99.8 score is from an 8x disk that my Philips can overburn it to 16x but have been burning at 8x! I bought the TYG03s and I don't like them too much. the +Rs are sooooooo much better. After burning these 100 I won't be buying them again.... not for my burners when I can get the +R YUDEN000T2s and get scores like above!

    @krzn65
    Update the firmware to the latest 1F2
    http://www.mdmm.com/optical_storage_drivers.php
    See if that helps.
    If you haven't recently - do a disc cleanup and defrag. Good to do on a regular basis to help keep the pc running smooth.
    Keep as much memory free too when burning.

    @IHoe
    I'm still sticking w/ the TYG03 - I like em. I've been using them for a year or more - the silver inkjet ones.
    I use both formats - but the -R's inkjet are cheaper. So I use them for that.

    @binkie.......I just like the booktyping feature with the +R media as compared to the -R media. And my drives like the +s better, too!

    @pahick
    Man big diff from that 1st one!
    94 - good score and burned at max.
    I'm not seeing much of a diff in the 16x media I burn at 16x either -still in mid 90's.
    Playback fine so what's not to like :0)
