    @zebadee,
    Nice scans! The PIE's on the YUDEN T03 are fantastic. Makes me jealous just thinking about buying some. I gotta wait tho. To many other discs in stock right now. LOL.

    Those are some great burns for 16X burning. Is that the speed you normally burn at or just showing off a bit? lol.

    That top burn is very similar to cincyrob's MCC 004 burns. I can tell that the Lite-On's really love that MCC media. :p

    @greensman

    i burnt that TY at 8x. i also did norbit again on a 16x+r TY. and it is almost the same result on th escan. i got a 93 on it also had the 1 spike that went up to 3 right at the end. but it also had a total of 23500PIE's and about 480 PIF's so allmost twins on the first 2 burns...,,,,,,,,, and yes i agree after 7 or 8 more burns i think the drive will have learnt the 16x+r TYs...it was nice to put them in the 18x drive and watch it burn to the disc instead of waisting it like the 8x TY's...lol

    Burned @ 16X with DVDShrink.

    3rd burn of this media and PIFs are down over half. Gettin' Better.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but Dvd Shrink doesn't burn persé, it uses auto-burning with Nero to burn the DVD?

    >.<

    @Ripper & aabbccdd,

    You caught me!

    You are right in that DVDShrink uses Nero to burn, but it's so easy to forget (which i did) when it does it transparently.

    heres the same disc but i scanned it at 2x instead of 4x.

    [IMG]

    a litle higher numbers on pie's and pif's but still a good scan. i'd say if i was to do it @ 1x the numbers would double.. might be a good thing to try tonight..

    @abcd,
    What did you do to get such GOOD results? I'm very glad to see it and definitely IMPRESSED with the 58 PIF's on a BENQ scan. I've only seen 1 or 2 scans with less than 100 PIF's in the last couple of years. :) How's she ripping and scanning?

    @cincyrob,
    L@@KING sexy as usual with the YUDEN T03's. hehehe.

    edit: 2 doesn't equal 3.... :p

    @hobbit,
    Yep he put a new one in and was having a difficult time with it. BUT I think he's got it now. :)

    hobbit you might also try IMGBURN if you haven't already. The only thing is you have to burn ISO's with it but you can configure DVDShrink or whatever encoding progie you are using to create the ISO for you. :)

    I've found that IMGBURN gives a great product and from reading that it handles DL discs much better than Nero. DON'T get me wrong here, Nero is a great progie and the only multi-burn-encode-media player PROGIE I have installed to my puter. ;) Me likes it like Mikey but there is always something that you like better. LOL.

    You can also use IMGBURN to "build" iso's and if it seems "difficult" you can try folder2iso. Both good little progies and ones that I've used and like.

    yeah its a different package/

    plus i reinstalled Qsuite and reflashed the drive, so hopefully everythings ok now.

    the rip times are great with this drive very fast. faster than the Lite-On

    heres another scan and this one was to the end of the dvd so i know the drive is ok for sure now. it may have been i didn't have the right version of Qsuite installed or maybe reflashing the drive did it but its working well now

    @gm

    I'm using ImgBurn for all my DL burning. I learned about ImgBurn back in February from Syxguns & Gwendolin and have been using it since.

    I've only been using Nero for burns for single-layers since then, and not for all.

    FYI, ImgBurn will also burn TS_VIDEO files(I've been playing with it). :)

    SO are you building first then burning with IMGBURN? I've done that a few times and it works fairly well. :)

    I couldn't stand it!! I had to try this and will "test" it out for a while longer to see if there is a TRUE benefit to the switch. :)

    FIRST burn using this "NEW" drive. LOL. It's really the Lite-On LH-18A1P flashed to the BENQ DW1800 f/w ZB37
    [IMG]

    The second disc burned with the "NEW" drive.
    [IMG]

    I did this just for fun but may leave it with only the first 2 results coming out better than almost any burn I've had lately with the LH-18A1P. The Lite-On burns well but this seems to be better results so far, only time will tell. ;)
