My DVDRW lite-on LDW-411S has worked pretty good in the past never read anything good but I have burned cds that worked and 1 movie and data dvds, but now i try to burn a DVD(ps2 game) dvd decrypter gave me so messed up message and so did everything else, but NERO said power calibration error or something to that effect so what do I need to do to fix this
Try burning slower to see if the problem goes away ... if not, its a sign your burner is on its way out (or is already toasted)
that sux i practically just bought the damn thing nero won't let me go any slower but I'll try on another program
Sounds like the drive is messed up however a firmware update might do the trick. For various firmwares pay a visit to http://forum.rpc1.org/portal.php
Another brand of media may do the trick as well, what are you using? Nero has an explanation of Power Calibration errors: http://www.nero.com/us/632181809668074.html#7 _X_X_X_X_X_[small]motorcycle racer computer newbie Sony VAIO Suzuki GSXR1000 [/small]
I am Using fujifilm for my media and i have the most updated firmware, but I will be trying everything nero says and i'll get back to y'all
I also have a LDW 411S DVD writer and has the same problem. What I did was just to use a VCD Lens Cleaner (a CD with a tiny brush on it). And the problem was solved ! So don't throw away your DVD writer - its just a dirty head !
Alright my luck sucks and not working very well i have been searching all over the internet I hear to use the old firmware of FSOF there is just one problem I can't freakin find it so if you don't mind could you help me locate the firmware for LDW-411s FSOF
