I wander if the 4870 will crash on games since it runs hotter than the 4850 and does it matter really? Or is it if u game like for 15 hours or something in a row. And if there are coolers that would help it never overheat can u tell me them and how to install them on? And would it handle call of duty 4 (COD4)? BTW looking in here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=hd+4870&x=0&y=0 which would be best? But budget is 320$ for graphics card if it's only like a little more than my budget and is a lot better than that's fine. I want one that would handle crysis warhead and newer games at 60 fps without freezing because i know 60fps is smooth. Or would the gtx 260 be better and it's much cheaper than the gtx 280? And handles crysis warhead better than the radeons. But i think this radeon is better than the one u posted http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814129113&Tpk=VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 (512MB)
Also answer about the gtx ones 260 and 280. what about this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130370

and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161236 idk about it but I would get a 260 for like 320 that could handle crysis warhead better than the radeons but idk if it overheats and breaks fast.

I want a gpu that would last hours without overheating and last for years in life time.

Heat is not an issue for the HD4870 or HD4870X2, as I've owned both cards, and never had any problems.
This is probably the one to have:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102797

I'd avoid the VisionTek and Palit cards as while custom coolers for cards can be better, they can also be worse, and a lot of them are. The stock cooler for the 4870 is fine, ignore all the rants about the high temperatures, they're nothing new. The GTX260s are also good cards, but as it stands right now, the 4870s are better value as they are basically the same in performance, and cost less.
The HD4870s don't overheat, and play Crysis Warhead just fine.

Any motherboard with one PCI express 2.0 slot will handle an HD4870.

Because I research graphics cards, and have seen the real world test results of them pitted against each other.

As of Catalyst 8.10, You can manually adjust the fan speed in the driver, but you shouldn't need to.

That card and case will work fine together, but you may want to consider buying extra fans if you get that case, as the RC-690 doesn't come with many pre-installed.

So is that graphic card u showed me last long in lifetime and last long in hours in gaming without messing up right? like at very high like a farcry for like 15 hours with working smoothly and has smooth fps which is at least 60 for very high farcry right? And is the card u told me 750mhz core clock and 1800mhz memory clock? right? Ok I will get the case u told me about them. Thank you. peace.

That depends on the resolution you used. Maxed out with Anti-Aliasing applied, the HD4870 is likely to score around 40fps in Far Cry 2 at 1920x1200, but will make the 60 you are after at resolutions of 1680x1050 and lower (22" monitor or smaller)

And is the card u told me 750mhz core clock and 1800mhz memory clock? Because i see it does good in cooling but i don't know about the speeds and is it better and faster than the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125225 and if it's not and this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125225 doesn't overheat and is able to do very high on a 1680x1050 for 15 hours working smoothly minimum well i don't play that much but that's considered good for me than I will get this one instead the first one u told me about. And and the sapphire card u told me about they say it doesn't have a crossfire bridge? Does it matter and can you buy one for it if it does matter and connect it easily not hardly? And what is it for and what does it do? Thank you. Peace.

Get the proper cooler on the Sapphire card, it'll be better. That card can handle gaming for as long as you like.

Ok is it better than the gygabyte one u told me about though? And faster is it? And even if i don't upgrade the cooler would it still handle gaming as long as i would like without getting idle or or freezing up or slowing down or something? So like more than 15 hours and stuff in a row right? And would it last for years in lifetime? Like how long? I see that it has no warranty. And what are the speeds of it in core clock and memory clock? And also the 620hx only has 2 pci-e connectors and is that enough or more than enough? How much is required really? Are there graphics cards that required it to connect 2 on one card. Is there more than 2 on one card though like 3 or more on one card not 2 or 3 cards but 1? If not then that's probably enough? And are the pci-e only for graphics cards? Because http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106083 does this required power connectors from the PSU? or any objects like that. If it does then I won't have enough of them the PCI connectors from the PSU right? And if that's true ima just get the 1000hx one.

Also check this out.. would this be better http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102796 than this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125225 and this one also http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102797 ? What about the memory clock ive heard that it runs only 1000mhz??? that's slow for me.. or is it the same as gddr3 at 2000 mhz? Oh and they say this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125225 runs at 1800mhz on gddr5 is that true? or did they make a typing mistake while posting it? thanks; peace.
Answer the above post too and please answer everything.

    From the Sapphire website:
The 620W Corsair HX has two 6-pin connectors, which is how many you need for an HD4870. They come as 6+2 pins, so all you need do is separate them, which is easy using the clip provided.

Graphics cards are the ONLY components that require these sorts of power connectors, so the 620W HX will be fine. Before you ask, the CPU uses an 8-pin connector too, but rather than splitting into 6+2, this can split into 4+4, so that's how you tell the difference.

The only difference with the more expensive card you posted is it has a bigger cooler, and realistically, that isn't necessary, it's pretty much a waste of $50.
The BASE memory clock for these cards is 900mhz. However, they use GDDR5 rather than the traditional GDDR3, which means that rather than doubling (DDR = Double Data Rate), you quadruple the speed, so the actual memory speed is 3600mhz, which is very high. However, please don't read too much into this, since I've stated before - memory clock specifications and the like are meaningless, it is the real world performance that counts.

Ok what if i was to buy this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106083 would this require the pin connector from anothe wire? Oh and the graphics cards i showed that's 50 dollars more they say it's over clocked instead of 900 mhz they say it's 1000 mhz and instead of 640 core cock it's 680 does that make a difference? So what's a perpheral connector what ur talkign about?

That fan requires a normal molex power connector, of which the Corsair HX has loads. No problem there, however, those slot fan cards tend to be pretty useless, there's no real reason to buy one as the 4870 doesn't exhaust into the case, it has its own dual slot cooler. Realising that the particular 4870 is overclocked, makes it a better deal. However, I've no idea how reliable those are as I haven't owned one myself.

So are the connectors perispheral right? Oh and what does IDLE temperature mean? And they say this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125225 is GDDR5 at 1800mhz is that true?and if it is so does that mean it's faster and better but just hotter? Can you help me search info about the cards and tell me if 50$ would be a rip or a good deal it is loud but better cooling and it handles most games by only a little better and some games a little worse but only a couple games worse so not much worse overall wins though. Some reviews say they didn't have enough fps with the sapphire is that what the other hd 4870's would have i mean would they have as much fps as the sapphires, less, or more? I need help researching about it. And heat doesn't really matter right? I thought the hotter the slower? What does heat make worse? Oh and im planning to get a 20" 1680 x 1050 monitor with the sapphire graphics card. Is that a good choice?

    If they say 900, 1800 or 3600, it's all the same, it's 3600mhz memory.
Heat is not an issue with the 4870s, you won't get any problems from it, with any cooler unless your case is rubbish, and the RC-690 isn't.
All brands of a particular card (e.g. Sapphire 4870 vs Visiontek 4870) perform about the same, unless they're overclocked (like the $50 more expensive one) but even then, that's less than a 10% difference in speed, not much.
    A 20" monitor is a bit of a waste with such a powerful PC, I'd recommend a 24" as a suitable companion.

The Sapphire (normal, not $50 extra) and Gigabyte are identical.

For the DVD drive, get the newer 22x one, there's no reason not to, and it's faster! :)
