Hey guys, well I have a Macintosh PowerBook G3 here and it wont boot now. I noticed it was running slow and froze up a few times before this. I turn it on, I can hear the hard drive spinning and all thew battery lights are on, and its plugged in. But that light under the monitor wont turn on, neither will the monitor.

Let me know if theres anything I can do. Thanks
    -Pat

Is it new? Do you have a warrenty on it?...I would take to a repair shop, because it seems like you got a faulty monitor.

It could also be the integrated graphics......

no, it isnt new. It had been working before, but kept running slow and froze a few times so I had to disconnect power.

powerbook g3's are known for a logic board faliure problem

    question:

did the computer slow down if yes first sign of logic board faliure

did the computer have trouble starting up if yes logic board once again

now for my big qiestion is this a black g3 or one of the white g3 ibooks becuase if it is a black one i hate to say it your laptop is toast and it will cost you 200.00 just to replace the logic board it isn't worth it
