powerstrip....PC(VGA) to HDTV(VGA)...HDTV...HOW?????

    I have a 27inch SONIQ HDTV. Its widescreen obviously. Supports 640p, 720p, 1080i. Has component, vga, and s-video inputs. My destop is on 1024x768. The destop looks stretched on the tv. How do i run widescreen resolutions and make it progressive. I heard u have to use powerstrip. But there is so many settings. help

    i am not gonna use this site again. ppll dont even help out. i tried some other site and they helped straight away.
