When I first got Prassi Prismo bundled w/ Pioneer DVD-RW I found it to be a nightmare so I went back to Nero Burning Rom which I had used for ages to do VCD/CD-R (had to update of course)

I've not had a problem burning since really..

P.S. Some other ppl swear by Stomp RecordNow Max also , Nero & RecordNow seem to be the most popular here at Afterdawn I'd say

    Peace : )

Definitely go with Nero, it has worked perfectly for me so far.

I have the same problem, it was working before then it wouldnt recognize it! The good thing about prassi is that you can burn at 1X cd-r speed when you are burning a dvd-r, so it burns so slow, it pretty well works on any dvd player

    I couldn't agree more w/ burning at X1.

[ you can do this w/ Nero Burning Rom / Enterprise Edition too ]

Exept for 1 tiny problem I do like Prassi a lot.
The original problem of 'saints1' I did solve by downloading the prassi update program called 'PX engine358' and running that.

My problem, however, is that Prassi doesn't start-up after an undefined time.
While starting-up Prassi it displayes several things under which "scanning buses". It needs to be followed by "Almost done" and then the program is operational.
My problem is the program remeins in the "scanning busses" mode and refuses to go on.
Any ideas what causes this and (more important) what can be done?

I had the same problem, except for it scanned for 5 mins then said cannot find drive. So i just reinstalled the program and rebooted my comp and it worked great

Thanks Golden_35. Tried that already and didn't solve the problem. Until now the only solution is to format the comp and to intall Prassi again. Is Prassi sensitive for other burning programs on a comp or any other sofware? I get the feeling it only happens when I install my scanner and/or my Zip-Drive software, but I can't think of a logical reason for that. Anyone any ideas?

try to find 'PX engine358' on the net.
Run it and Prassi will recognize the burner (probably)

What kind of burner do you have, a DVD+ or DVD-?
PS2 games can only allow DVD- burners to create back-ups.
    Describe the error.
