I use Nero 5.5 and have an avi-file that's 680 Mb. I chose to burn SVCD and Nero starts encoding file. When that's finished and the burn process is about to start Nero says there's not enough space on CD-R.

How can that be? File is 680 Mb and I use 700 MB, 80 minutes CD-R?

680MB worth of "avi" file. when you want to convert to svcd it will encode to mpeg2. which is less efficient than "avi" that mostly uses mpeg4, more efficient.
    thus using less data rate.
what you can do is get a little help using the guide at the guide section.
    ;)

Well I've been checking there as well and I've got a few hints.

So what you're meaning is that in the encoding process the avi-file gets larger than the original file?
