Couldn't find a place to put this question so I'll put it here because it kinda has to do with CD-R. I'm having problems installing Painkiller(the game) on my PC and my girlfriends PC as well. I can get it installed and when I try to play it, it says ERROR: Could not Initalize DirectX [bold]renderer[/bold]. This happens on both PC's. I re-downloaded DirectX 9.0 because I already had it but I did it again just to make sure and I still have the same problem. So, is Renderer a different program or what am I doing wrong?
try reinstalling video drivers and directx 9.0c, or maybe your graphics card isn't up to the high end graphics. See if they have a patch at thier site.
Well I have reinstalled DirectX 9.0 about 3 times. It may be my graphics card but would it not say it is my graphics card? I know it has on previous games but come to think about it, it could very well be my card because its kind of out dated. I don't know I wouldn't think of that. Thanx!
