When I play my DVD the video pauses and motion is blured.

Background - Video is made up of digital photos and digital video taken by myself. I used windows movie maker to bring the footage to my PC, edit the clips, add sub titles and music. I then exported the project as a DV AVI file. I then used TMPGEnc express to convert it to MPEG. I then used TMPGEnc Author to convert to vob's and burn the vob's to disk. My burner is a Toshiba. I have tried playing the disk in my panasonic DVD player and my laptop. Both the TV and laptop experience the video pauses and blured motion.

Things I have done to try and narrow down the problem - I can play the AVI file, the MPEG file and the VOB's on my PC with no problems. Besides buring with Author I tried Nero 7. I have tried Memorex and Verbatim -R DVD's. I don't have another burner to try.

Has anyone seen this type of problem before ?
Does anyone have any other suggestions ?
Does anyone have any ideas what causes this problem ?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

MemoSux are the worse media on the market.

Playback problems are usually related to:

    - Cheap Media
(Keep those Verbatim, or Taiyo Yuden, Maxell Made In Japan)

    - Burned too fast, burn at 2x, or 4x Max !

Then you should get better results...
