Try to reflash your box with the V6.00 and see if that fixes the problem after you reflash it turn the box off at the back then turn it back on again and then do your rescan on your channels
i had this problem with 1 of my mates starview 3 keeps rebootin i put the latest software on it 705 then after it kept rebooting i had a play with the dodgy plug. i then realised it was the lose connection with this type of plug i had the same problem with the wifes ghds . it is now working ok but i might look into re wiring the plug but these 2 pin plugs are diffrent wiring to uk
If you cut the wire, you will have a minimum of 2 wires blue and brown, put these into a standard plug you should be sorted!! but dont blame me if you blow the gaff up LOL
Thats the first thing i did when i got the box, Have you actualy stopped the reboot issue with replacing the plug?
I don't think it has anything to do with the plug as the box won't respond to the remote for ten seconds like it's a fault and it's stuck and then it reboots because it's stuck.
I've said in previous posts that my box is booting on specific channels, so i dunno how the power cord would affect it.
There is a penalty to pay for everything LOL Not sure were you are but I notice that the other soccer channels have moved also... try frquency 418.250 on a manual scan ( delete the original channel)
Can someone please help me ? I have a starview which was working perfectly but now the remote control (RC) will not work. I borrowed another RC and it will not work either. The problem appears to be with the Starview. Because the RC will not work, I cannot get into any on the menus to check out anything. Appreciate your help.
if it is the starview 3 there seems to be a few problems with them at the present time you need to reboot your box and it might work then
reboot?? do you mean turn it on/off or reload the software-if I reload the software, will i be able to get the SV working again. the SV is working except for the remote-prefer to change channels manually than have no SV at all. Will I be Ok ?
tried turning it on/off. It works for a few (2-3 ) changes but then sticks. read eleswhere that others sorted it by opening thebox and finding a loose connection. Not very good a soldering--are there idiot proof instructions for doing that ?
Cyborcop, Thanks for your help but don't think the warranty will add up to much. Got the SV from a lad who knows a lad etc, etc, I tapped the SV and got it to work again. Must have a loose connection, I will try get more info on what to look for, and open iot next time . If anybody has done it before pls post. Again thanks for your help-lost without ye.
Well I Came Across this under 2 circumstances 1. there was a button stuck pressed in on the remote ( This blocked the other remote from working aswell) 2. The person was using a video sender with Remote (Philips) this was stuck in a loop which blocked the box signal. with option 1 check the buttons if in doubt when using the other remote take the batteries of the first out. with option 2 plug out the video sender / Red eye remote sender. It is recommended that you return the equipment to where you bought it but if this is not an option and your sure the Remote IR on the unit has stopped maybe its possible to approach another supplier for a repair job for a fee. But it maybe worth a look inside to make sure the Connections are snug before that. Hope this helps....
boscher i had this a few times if you are prepared to open the box (3 screws at the back)you will see the white ribbon coming from the lcd screen on the front of the box, make sure the ribbon is pushed firmly down at the other end as this can come loose in transit and is a common problem. make sure your box is unplugged
