Problem Starview 3, NEED HELP PLEASE!

api ver 2.57e boot v7
it does not auto roll can i do anything with it

ok i walked into that one like a big BLUE lamp post!!but SERIOUSLY?????BB????you know the hours you watch that brain drain you never get them back?!!LOL

 

Dont mean to be a pain but have we got to the bottom of the problem with the Starview 3 going off after being on specific channels and rebooting itself. Ive flashed mines with gtrom600 601 and 705 but still have the same problem

 

Unless they do new firmware for the box no it will be the same way i here now that there is something in the pipeline for it so you will just need to wait and see when it comes

 

Cheers mate. Are people still reporting the same problem even after theyve flashed it with different firmware? Also, this box is in my bedroom so its connected to a splitter, although the signal is strong if it makes any difference

 

yes the reports are all the same it seems all the new released starview 3 super with the extra tv output on the back is causing the problem the new firmware just does not work properly on that as it is the tuner that is at fault all the older super boxes are working 100% you could tray taking the splitter off but i would doubt it will do anything as it is defo firmware related

 

Download the 2 files below to your DESKTOP.

You will need GT ROM Loader http://www.4shared.com/file/49191796/3361714/GTRom_v400.html

You will need version CryptStar-v1.4-Core400 http://www.4shared.com/file/46699827/b260d1ca/CryptStar-v14-Core400.html firmware for GENUINES .

Updating Firmw@re

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The Starvi*w does not need to be connected to TV to update it with GTROM)

Open GTROM Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click b1n File & browse to the firmw@re where you downloaded it to on your PC.

Run the GTROM loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase then Download completed message on your PC.

Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE p0p up on your PC before removing the NULL MODEM CABLE.

The Starvi*w will then reboot

Disconnect from PC and connect back up to the TV

go to menu and press 1570 and turn on emu in the menu that comes up.

small problem with starview 3 the super box adult and playboy sound only is this a bad thing i hear you say but is there a fix for it tried autoscan and manual restart and its still the same and i note nasn in the channel is on 3000 what's the prob if it has been coverd allready im sorry but just cant find it oh and its ..l dublin

only got it today.
I pluged it in have the channels in like ntl put it is saying
SCRAMBLED OR BAD CHANNEL
Not much good at this can any body help PLEASE. Thanks
