Sometime last week i burnt a dvd at 8x and it only took like 15 mins. Today when i tried to burn a dvd it took over an hour. I burnt a cd to see if it was the burner and it went fine. Does anyone have any idea why it is taking so long now. PLEASE HELP!!!!! Thanks a lot
i did everything on that page and it still is on a pace to take over an hour to burn the movie. i dont konw what to do anymore. thanks for all the help thus far, and if you have anymore help i would appreiciate it. again thanks alot
It said that it was in dma mode, but i went ahead and uninstalled it like those instructions said to. now it is in dma mode again. thanks for the reply
my recorder buffer level is constantly moving, from like 5 to 87 to 90 to 15 to 5 and so on but the used read buffer stays at 100. it never used to do this. i dont know but maybe that has something to do with the problem.
I don't know. I had the same problem with a 4x burner. I needed an upgrade anyway so I replaced it with a 16x DL drive. I would try your burner in another pc to isolate whether it is the drive or possibly software or hardware conflict before replaceing the drive.
i just installed the drive in a different computer, and the burn speed was normal. i dont really know what this means, maybe something is wrong with my computer. if you have any help please it would really help. could it maybe be an ide controller
I can't offer any more suggestions. My new drive isn't working exactly like it should. I think I may have a bad IDE channel on my motherboard. I'm building a new pc next week so oh well. themick07, Looks like you ruled out any problem with your drive. The only suggestions I can give you are: defrag your hdd, run a spyware-adware tool, if you have nero IN CD or roxio get rid of them. GL I hope you get it figured out.
