Problem with burning

    What firmware version is showing now? Check your connections also.
    Try also switching your media - the only time I've had this problem again was with the media I was using. Try Verbatim or look for made in Japan Fuji or Sony. Updating the firmware helps your drive w/ the newer media and read/write strategies.

    If your drive has an emergency eject button, which is usually a very small hole, try sticking a bent paper clip in it and see if the drive will eject. If this does not work I agree with Rotary it sounds like the drive is dead. It was having problems before the upgrade and upgrading should have fixed the media problem.

    It did eject after putting a pin in a small hole. I closed it manually then try ejecting it again, it didnt work. @binkie7 the philips website u gave me doesnt work, it says website not found o_O

    You can try and unplug your drive cables and then put them back and make sure they are seated tightly, or take the drive out or your computer and see if it works in another computer.

    I tryed removing my writer then replace a normal cd writer, the cd writer works fine but when replacing back the dvd rewriter it doesnt work.

    Maybe it is time to start thinking about a new burner. Try the burner in another computer and see if it will do anything.
