I used to able to backup my movies in about an hour using Any DVD With Clone DVD2. I recently had to do a complete system restore on my hard drive. After i reinstalled my programs, it took four hours to backup a movie. Can anybody tell me why. My programs are both up to date.

Check and make sure all your drives are in DMA mode and not the slooow PIO mode. Here's a guide

Ok - current transfer mode shows Ultra DMA Mode and a # and transfer mode shows DMA if available?

You still might want to uninstall & then reboot the primary and secondary ide channel to see if it makes a diff - can't hurt.

    What are you pc specs?

When you did a complete system restore are we talking reformat?

Yes i refomatted my hard drive. I figured out what the problem was. I have a portable hard that i use for backing up files. It runs slow because i have it pluged into a USB 1.1 port. when reinstalled CloneDVD I Forgot to transfer the CloneDVDTemp folder back to the local disk. Everything is working fine now. Thank you

Yeah connecting by 1.1 usb will make a big diff in speed

Glad to hear you sorted it out.

    Happy Burning!
