I just installed this unit 4 days ago--first start up the unit spinned wildly & did not stop until I restarted computer 3-4 times. It stopped making noise until today & the spinning started again. I have to restart computer to make the unit quiet again. Any idea why this is happening ??
Is there a disc in the drive when this happening or not? Are you running any applications like NeroDiscSpeed which control the spin-up/spin-down time of the drives?
Well you know what to do... Very strange though, LG drives aren't usually problematic. Their newer drives are all getting good reviews from what I'm seeing, I have a H20L I bought last year, works beautifully..
I installed new drive-works great.Drives are much better today than 10 years ago. In the 90's I had to install 3 new drives in my new computer to find one that was compatable. Electronics are probably the only thing in this country that takes a price drop.
