I have some AVI files that cannot be played in any of my players(just play few second) I used GSpot to check these files and: 1. I have the codecs 2. Directshow rendering is successful Here is Gspot info from an example file movie.dvdcr Xvid-dvl.avi: video xvid mpeg-4 codec xvid mpeg-4 video decoder audio ffdshow audio decoder ac3 filter ac3 from avi xfrom -- ac3 prologic decoder file length correct video path(S) --> AVI Splitter --> DivX Decoder Filter --> (R) audio path(S) --> AVI Splitter --> ffdshow Audio Decoder --> Morgan Stream Switcher --> (R) Does anyone have any idea how I can get around this thanks iraj
I'm having the excact problem. I have uninstalled all codecs and installed FFDShow, but no good. Any ideas? the movie I'm having problems with is an XviD w/ AC3 sound
Dudes, I have resolved the problem: I downloades avicoced from http://avicodec.duby.info/ to find out what was used to encode the movie. Them I followed the www-links to download the correct codecs. Thanks to Praetor who suggested this solution here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/48608
