    I have some AVI files that cannot be played in any of my players(just play few second)
    I used GSpot to check these files and:
    1. I have the codecs
    2. Directshow rendering is successful

    Here is Gspot info from an example file movie.dvdcr Xvid-dvl.avi:
    video xvid mpeg-4 codec
    xvid mpeg-4 video decoder
    audio ffdshow audio decoder
    ac3 filter
    ac3 from avi xfrom -- ac3 prologic decoder

    file length correct
    video path(S) --> AVI Splitter --> DivX Decoder Filter --> (R)
    audio path(S) --> AVI Splitter --> ffdshow Audio Decoder --> Morgan Stream Switcher --> (R)
    Does anyone have any idea how I can get around this
    thanks
    iraj
