problem with starview box

cheers tmurrell! im in work but i will try wen i get home. The box does turn on and i have reset factory settings and done an automatic scan. I still get 138 tv channels but only 7 of them have picture and sound the rest just update

 

ok ebyrne 2006 when you put new code in if it doent come on then try putting the 01 code in first then the 00 code and it should come on it sound like you just got channels that are free

ebyrne that code i gave you is for pure ntl if your on ntl ireland the code hasnt changed

 

wot do i do then as the codes i have i only have 7 channels and i even remebered to turn on the EMU after scanning.
A work colleague has just told me that he has the same problem

 

ive got 2 differant code for n*l ireland they are
00 A9 86 6E EA 39 EA 09 49
01 23 C5 32 FA 51 A6 50 02

try these and also you can try putting 01 code then 00 code

 

Will try the first code as the second code is already the one i'm using. will let you know

 

ok but if it doesnt work also try putting 01 first then 00 on both of the codes

Guys, I've tried everything and still no joy. Can anyone help in anyway? I've still only got 7 channels and i need HELP

 

what exactly have you tried? if you explain in detail, somebody might help, your being quite vague inwhat you need!!!

 

ebyrne u need two sets of correct codes 00 and 01 for box to work and dont get them mixed up,check and doublecheck ur codes and if i digit out box might not work,also uk and irl codes different

 

To input keys manually :

press menu
press 1570. (this takes you into secret menu)
Press OK on "nagravision"
Make sure your cable provider is listed at top N*L or T***WEST C&W CHO**S ect
Go down to "Key Number" and check its on 00
Go down again to "Key Data" and input the correct keys
Press OK to store
Go back up "Key Number" and change to 01 using the > button on the remote control
Go back down again to "Key Data" and input the correct keys
Press OK to store
Press "Exit" , Check the bottom option and make sure "Key EMU" is On
Press Ok again
Then "Exit and "Exit" again back to the main tv screen
Then go to a paid channel and should update .

 

Hi All i have ben reading your posts in the past and i've got great help from you all. Im really stuck and im hoping some of you may be able to help me. I have a starview clone. Today the colour went out of it and i was going to do a scan. I pressed menu and it wont let me exit language and its still black and white. If i do a channel scan it comes up no channels found. Please can anybody help me out.

 

Menu > Factory Setting
PIN 0000
OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

English > Installation
Choose Provider etc
Automatic Scan
Press OK
Channels found
Exit

Menu 1570
Turn EMU key ON

Exit , exit , exit

 

thanks Celtic71, iv done all that and its getting 171 channels in but their all coming up scrambled or bad channel, it wont let me imput the code 1570 or turn the emu key on either.can you think of anything else i could try please.
