problem with starview box

    Sounds like you need to update the firmware if it wont allow you to access the secret menu , press Menu > System Information and tell me what the API is please

    Try point the remote at the SV and do it slowly , press Menu then 1570 , take your time as you might not be doing it right

    When its black and white press the tele text button on your tv remote not on the Starview remote when the tele text comes up just go back off wait about three sec and the colour should come back. If that doesn't work try changing your scart lead.

    are the codes different for a clone i put in the codes i have, in my mates box but no joy

    cactikid, last week the cable went down in opur area in Dublin and when it eventually came back on i had only 2 channels. So i went into the menu and reset factory settings and scanned again. The box told me I had 138 channels but only 7 of them actually work. Wots annoying me is that i can see 7 channels and not the rest. I tried to manual scan as well but no joy. I have changed ny scart and lead to my cable box but now i am panicing. Do you need anymore info???

    Turn your box off then back on from the back switch and rescan again. If that doesnt work do a factory reset and follow the above procedure again.

    hello im new to this site iv n offered 10 starview boxes for 600 quid just wondered if this is a good oportunity they are plug and play ones just didnt want to buy em and sell em on to friends and they go pair shaped or dont work for sum reason any advice would be gr8
