problem with starview

    Hi Guys

    can anyone tell me where I can get the cable from to connect my box to my pc ??? Also what the heck is the emu and how do you turn it off and on???

    HHHHEEELLLP!!!!!!

    I bought the USB Serial Converter at Maplins. And you turn the EMU off by going to menu, press 1570 and turning off Key EMU. Hope this helps.

    You will need the EMU key ON to view channels

    Is the cable actually called a usb serial converter and if it is how much did you pay for it please??

    I think the one I got in Maplins was £12, may have been a bit cheaper but I cant really remember!

    When you press 'Menu' on your remote and enter 1570 it will bring up a menu look at the bottom of this menu and you'll see 'Key EMU-ON' select it to turn it on or off.

    Press Menu then 1570 and it should be the option atthe bottom

    Thanx will try to do it properly now.....Some "mate" in work told me to go to parental control to key in 1570.

    Its just the RF setting it comes at, dont worry about this. Throughout this thread you never said if you had an original Starview or a Starview 2 called "The Box" and what firmware you are intending to flash it with.
