I am trying to convert a .avi file that is 700mb in size to a MPEG-2, but TMPGEnc will not do it, and, when it does, there is no sound. I can't figure out the problem, but i thought maybe you all could.

You need to multiplex the sound in TMPGEnc to make the sound play.

I have gone through all, if not most, of the menus in TMPGEnc, but i can't find where to "multiplex" the sound. Where exactly do i do that Oriphus?

Its in File>Mpeg tools but thats not the problem i think

does the avi have sound when you play it? get g-spot and see if you have correct codecs

Do you get an error screen?

and do you use the project wizard because you should its great
