problems backing up a dvd...

    here is the burn error....first time asking for help

    did the firmware flash...same result...same error....think the drive is bad? and thanks for the serial# tip.

    I would buy another brand of disk (Verbatim is good) before assuming that it's bad - and you will still have the disks anyway.
    You can also update to the latest version of Nero 6 free.
    Just use the Nero Clean Tool before installing it.

    I have both verbatium and sony blank media, with the same results...and from what I'm reading in the error report, is that there was some sort of power issue??..

    Referring to the Power Calibration error, there are umpteen threads on this in Google.

    It's seldom the actual power supply to the burner that's the problem.
    You could also try another burning software , like ImgBurn, to see if the results are the same.
