OK... bought this off ebay and trying to make a copy of it cause it's not avaivable in stores anymore. Problem is that it does not seem to be recognized in my computer sometimes... other times when it is recognized it has problems ripping. I've tried both dvddecryptor and dvdshrink and they have the same problems at the same point in the disc. The dvd is new--no scratches of any kind. Anyone had this problem before? Or ripped this movie? I've tried it on 2 different laptops with the same problems. Only other time I've experienced this issue was with porn... which I just assumed the company was using cheap media or something. But didn't expect this from a Disney movie. Maybe cause it's older and they formatted or pressed it differently? The DVD looks legit, not a bootleg, and plays fine in my home dvd player. It's region 1.
Try Nero StartSmart or either Clone DVD. CloneDvd is a free trial period software and Nero , you can get off of limewire.com
Same problem at same point on disk.. Hmmmm tends to mean there is a problem with the original disk. Some very light scratches that you cant see can effect the rip process. You can try cleaning it really good I use a neat little invention called SkipDR that thing will fix just about any DVD you are having problems with. You could just another good copy and try that also
Not to be too much of a smart asZ, but I'd say the first problem is that you bought the little mermaid....
