problems setting up my eurovox EX5000 PVR MAX Vhard drive 2008 need HELP

I have just bought the above box and i'm in desperate need of help. I scan for channels and all it brings up is the normal ones I would get with my virgin media package and all of the channels that I would not get are scambled. Can I please get someones advice!!!!!!! please

 

You need the latest Firmware on it, press Menu, Config, System Info, What does it say in there.

 

It says

S/W BUILD: KURO

 

Yeah S/W Ver should read 15 July 2008, most suppliers only sell with the free to air Firmware installed, Follow this guide,

I did the update that you told me to do and then I plugged it back to update the channels. originally the progress was a max of 40. Now after the update its 770 and its not found any channels at all.

 

URGENT NEED OF HELP NO CHANNELS

 

Footys on so got to run, make sure you enter the correct symbol rate, go back to the guide and download the symbol rate list and match it with your provider & location, once again any OTHER problems post them in that thread.
