Hello! I have built many computers, and have not had a problem like this. I have a Gainward GeForce-4 Ti 4200 video card -- AGP 8X. I just received this back from the company for RMA. I plug the card into the board, power it up, and I get nothing. The PC deosn't even boot. All of my fans start -- including the one on the card -- but I get nothing. I also get the same behavior on 2 other machines. Once I remove the card, and return to the integrated graphics, all is well. I am guessing that the video card is DOA, but I want to make certain that I am not missing something obvious before I begin my complaints to Gainward -- This is the 3rd replacement in 6 months!

    MOBO1: Biostar M7NCG-400
    MOBO2: Asus A7N8X-X
    MOBO3: Asus A7V8X-MX

    Thanks for any ideas!

Just to be anal for their sake, I would try a known good card in one of those machines. That way they can't say you have 3 computers with bad AGP slots.

Otherwise I'd say you recieved a bad card.

Yep. Definitely a bad card. Other cards work without issue. Thanks.
