    Greetings all!

I have only recently entered the weird but wonderful world of backing up dvd's.
I tried to back up 'The Replacements' using DVD shrink.
    The program reported no errors.
But it wont play on my dvd player - which i understand maybe a player error.

But even when i insert it into my computer it wont play properly.
The movie appears to have been split up into sub sections, which are different files.
So to watch the movie i have to watch the 1st bit, when that finishes i have to go back to the folder and find the next section, etc.

Is it supposed to be like this?

I back up my movies using the following method:

    DVD Decrypter to rip
    DVD2one to compress
    RecordNow to burn.

There's some detailed instructions with pictures in the link in my signature. Hope it helps!

Also, not that I think the problem is with your stand alone; you can double check it here: http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
