I've just bought a new DELL with an internal DVD+RW drive (Philips DVD+RW SDVD6004).
The problem is when i'm insert a blank dvd to burn, the Dvd drive don't stop to read (it cicled or not reconize) and no one program can burn the dvd (roxio, sonic, dvd x copy) because throw
this errors: "the DVD is not compatible, please insert a blank DVd", "the DVD drive can't focus the cd" (i used
    DVDs verbatim and LG).
This only happend when im want burn DVDs, for the rest the DVD driver works great (burning cds,
    playing Dvds Movies, reading).

    Any advice is appreciated.

I think I found out the problem, you have to use DVD+RW discs. I couldn't get it to work with DVD-R or DVD-RW. Now, my DVD+RW disc is working.

lol - yeah, you certainly wont get -R discs to work in a +R recorder and vice versa.
