Does Nero recognize VOB files on DVDs ? Here's the kicker, when I run a simulation, it's successful in copying a DVD disc, but the burn fails when I run a real burn. I've tried trasnsferring from VOB to mov, avi etc. and the various Nero programs such as Vision Express. Perhaps it's my settings ? Any tips would be appreciated.
Either reduce the burning speed to 4x or use Nero to 'burn' the output files to a folder on the hard disk. Use another burning program to burn the output files to disk. If the burn fails, consider using another brand of media (Verbatim is good) and burn at modereate speed. http://www.imgburn.com/ Run ImgBurn Click 'Mode' > 'Build' Click 'Output' > 'Device' Click 'File' > 'Browse for Folder', highlight on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder, > 'OK' Set burning speed to 4x and click the green write button.
Just to add to the good advice from attar; make sure you're not multitasking while burning. And always use good media. Verbs, TY, or MIJ Sony.

need to uninstall roxio apps and/or drivers from pc as your useing an older version of nero known to conflict with roxio apps/drivers left installed... get shot of roxio apps then use roxio ZAP tool to get rid of registry to --------------- on next project booktype those +R discs to dvd-rom for better compatibility

Reinstalling Nero probably wouldn't help. Firmware for your drive is out of date, current version is JL05 from here: http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2219 DMA needs to be on for this drive. You do realize that your project will easily fit onto a single SL disc and you are basically wasting a DL in this venture. Trash bin quality media, I would suggest Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. The CMags from your first log are no good either. Still have Roxio's drivers installed, remove as suggested by Rotary.

i think cheap old discs or try to reencode with shrink and then burn it with either neero or third party burning sifty maybe u can get lucky
