problems with encoding..please HELP!!!!!

    Once I get thru all the setting I have a problem with encoding. It keeps coming up as some sort of error. Its driving me crazy. Please help.

    What are you encoding? What is the source file type? What are you tryign to convert it to?
    What program are you using?
    What settings are you using?
    What is the error message?

    I'm trying to encode a dvd I own to dvd
    I'm using input and output on DVDx
    I'm using back-up buddy
    I'm trying to covert to mpeg file

    have you ever heard of dvd back-up-buddy?

    I did a google search on this "Backup Buddy" thing, and it seems to be one of these packages that backs up DVDs to CDRs in the VCD format. (And if it included DVDx, it is also selling freeware that can be downloaded at no cost.)
    If you have a DVD burner (and are backing up pre-recorded DVDs onto blank DVD+/-R), this product is of no use to you, and DVD Shrink is all you need.
    If you have only a DVD-ROM and a CDRW Burner, on the other hand, this product contains the kind of software you need (but is likely being sold without the permission of the programmer), but you should seek some support in the VCD forum (or from the company, since their web page claims to offer full support).
