if you ripped the DVD with Decrytper then it should work fine on the computer! Decrypter doesn't change the files at all....... shrink transcodes the files to smaller files so it can fit onto a DVD5 (single sided DVD). maybe it's in the settings of shrink that just saved the audio to English to save space for the movie!? I would say it's a setting in shrink! or something that shrink did!
i had a problem of making a backup of kung hustle with dvd shrink when it's analyzing at 9% so then i ripped the movie using to DVD decrypter, there was not a problem and so i had a successful burn using dvd shrink. Hopes this will help.
VT........ there really isn't anything special about Kung Fu Hustle..... it was burned and ripped easily using many programs!
how would i change the options to like, leave the cantonese and get rid of the english? is that possible? i really can't stand english dubbed movies.
in AnyDVD you can choose which language to have!!!!!!! how about that! If you put the setting to Cantonese then it should just allow that language...... I'm not too sure on that, because, I hardly use AnyDVD anymore! but it's worth a try! Before you rip or burn anything..... click on the AnyDVD icon by the clock on the bottom right of your screen. It should open and in the PROGRAM tab is Languages! Instead of AUTOMATIC you can pick your language! try that! see what happens! ok? but as I look at it I don't see Cantonese there..... but if the disk has it then it should appear there..... I guess. Like I said.... I'm no expert but it's worth a try!
oh, i see an option under Audio in DVD Shrink for English and Chinese, i'll try to deselect english and select chinese
check out you ANYDVD too! And I knew that there had to be a setting in Shrink, cause if you use DVDDecrypter then the files are the same as on the original disk.... so it had to be in Shrink or AnyDVD or both!
ok, now it's in chinese, but it wont even play now. it keeps skipping all over then it just freezes. sigh..
skipping, freezing, and pixelations mean you used bad media! what is the manufacturer of your disk? Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Verbatim, and Maxell disks are top rated. Check this list of media: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm if you use first class media you won't get skipping, freezing, or pixelations! AND............... YOU'RE WELCOME!
@cinna - i may be able to help there, i'll give you a pointer, while being careful not to wander off topic too much. get this - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm and use it to find out info about your media and paste it here. as i say i don't want to wander off topic but a quick check can most likely get this sorted for you..
i'am trying to rip the movie using dvddecrytor just the main movie, but under streaming process what check boxes do i need to get the movie to play for an english viewer..thanks
