Problems with my cd burner

    I have a mitsumi CR-48XATE which used to work just fine. Now my computer has disabled it. How do I get it enabled again?

    I don't know wich version of Windows you have, but if you can get to the 'Device Manager' (under Hardware tab) from Control Panel, double-click on CD/DVD ROM Drives. If you see your drive there, right-click and select 'Enable'. Otherwise, search in Control Panel for 'Add Hardware' and let Windows try to find the drive and install drivers.

    thank you, I have windowx xp, and tried to enable the device without success. Maybe its a hardware problem?
