Lately i have been having problems with Shrink reading the disc. Sometimes it messes up while reading the disc other times it wont even open it. It pops up an error message and this is what it says.

    "Dvd Shrink encountered and Error
    Data Error(cyclic redundancy check)"

i have no clue what that means or how to fix it. some one please help me!!!!!

    thanks a lot

Yes, in short Shrink cannot read certain segments of the disc which normally results from a damaged disc. The disc may look ok but the damage can be almost microscopic. You can try cleaning the disc and trying it again but if that doesn't cure it then you will probably find the disc is unable to be ripped, no matter what programme you use.
