problems with spider chip v1.1 on xbox v1.0

    i recently purchased a spider chip v 1.1. i took apart my xbox so i could install the chip but the LPC port on my xbox is soldered in. could anyone please tell me what to do?

    You will need to desolder the holes. Get some desolder braid or a solder sucker to get that solder out of there. Make sure not to use anything higher than 15 watts for your soldering iron.

    If you would have ordered an Xecuter 3 modchip, you could have used the simple wire install kit that came w/ it, which would have elimited having to desolder the holes.

    when i desolder the holes do i desolder them all the way through making a whole in the mother board?
    please answer

    Yes, there should be no solder in the holes... Your final result should look like this,

    I noticed that the pic. above has one hole still soldered, you will need to desolder all of them...

    tnkx for the advice ill try desoldering the holes. i do have one more question though, could u please tell me where i could find a manual strictly only for the xbox v 1.0 with spider chip v1.1. cause it gets really confusing when theres all the other versions of the xbox.

    sorry to bother u again but i just realized that the hole into which im supposed to put the e wire in is full. is that ment to be? or is it supposed to a full seethrough hole.
