THis is my first post. Hello. I have a sony wega kv-hw21m83 and a Phillips DVP642 progressive scan dvd player hooked up via component video cables. whenever i try to to switch on progressive scan on my dvd player the screen goes blank and auto recovers disabling progressive scan. PS2 works fine. Thanks for your help

sry man it was my first post. Just trying to help Iv read in other posts that people have had the exact same problem and it was because the T.V wasent progressive scan. So i thought that would be the problem in your case. Sry
