My PS2 won't play my burned DVD's, i'm using Phillips 1-8x 4.7 brand dvd+r. Could someone lend me a hand on what's going on. I'm using Clonedvd to burn the movie.

    Hi there bbslim76,

Your problem is quite simple. When your PS2 was made there weren't any 8X discs and so it cannot recognize them. The reason we have Firmware flash upgrades for our burners is that the manufacturers are always "tweaking" our burners, so they will recognize more discs and newer discs. If we could "flash" standalone players, XBoxes and PS2 we wouldn't have the problem you're experiencing, the inability to handle new or different discs. Go back to 4X discs and I'm betting your PS2 will "gobble" them right up :)

    Cheers,

    Pete

Ok thank you, I will try that when I get home. I'll post a reply if it works.
