ok thanx for that part, but it still wont turn on, i believe i hooked up everything, but one thing that i noticed is fron the power on button there was this 4 connector pin that has only 2 connectors but has room for 4 do i just plug that one in an appororiate 4 pin connector comming from the psu, and would it matter that my front usb port and the other stuff in front of it arent hooked up, because there are many wires, for example some say "SPKoutL, Return L, GND, MIC BIAS, ect... they are all 1 pin connectors, and there are also 3 connectors that are together which say + Port - and Port + they are red, white, green, and there are 2 black connectors that are with that that say - on them
the red, white, green & black are your usb connectors. the others are for the audio connection to the front end of your case. the 4pin connector besides the 2pin to the motherboard coming from the power button, i don't think gets attached to the psu as probably no male connector from the psu that will fit it. if have all your drives hooked up than remove all power & data cables to drives, remove all cards & ram except for videocard & 1 stick of ram & reseat those 2.
i hooked up the usb parts and the other 2 pins u told me to, but it still wont turn on, when i plug in the power cord all i hear is like a "brrrrsssppppp" comming from the cpu fan, and the back/front fan spinning, than the fans just stop working, and it wont turn on, any ideas?
nvm, about the previous text,, now i have 1 stick of ram, the cpu/fan, video card, and the red/orange/white 2 pin connector, with the blue/gray connector, and the gray and orange connector, and when i turned it on the cpu fan was working fine, now what do i do after that?
when i was putting each wire back to position, i came across one problem, its a square looking 4pin connector, its 2 black wires with 2 yellow wires, and when ever i put that in place and turn on my machine it wont start and im back to the same spot i was in before, if you konw what wire im talking about do u believe i need it in there or is there another way around it?
I would suggest completely removing the USB Port wires completely out of the way, and discoonecting them. They have no effect whatsoever on whether the PC turns on and off normally. They're more of a luxury item, that u set up after you get your PC working. When I migrated my PC to a different case, I was having the same problem. You dont really need to plug anything in except the PWRBTN if you are troubleshooting. Experiment with the PWRBTN plug in different positions on the Motherboard, maybe connect the plug(if it is 2 pin or more) to include the PWLED connection. Hope this helps
thanx ddp, but i found out that my ram was bad and that the power supply was bad, but i got both of them replaced and its working fine, now that i set up the mother board/video card/cpu/case/psu, i should format my hard drive right, since i took it out of my old pc?
