Well, replacing it will mean replacing the motherboard which is hassle. You could always buy a cheap dedicated graphics card, make an upgrade out of this!
oh wait i can remove the graphics card easy enough so it might be seperate i just wont the easiest way to sort this lol the graphics card is at the bottom with blue monitor thing at the end but i have already got 1 at the top so therefore i have got 2 hope you understand me lol
That means you've got both a dedicated and integrated. Try plugging your monitor into whichever one you're NOT using now.
If neither work it might not be your graphics card, but to be certain, plug your monitor into the other one and physically remove the dedicated one at the bottom.
ok i will try this later as i am out and if this does not work what could it be? if i remove the graphics card at the bottom then ther will not be any graphics card at all will there?
Ah, what i thought you meant was two ports in different places, one at the top of the PC, one at the bottom, if they're both next to each other obviously you can't do that.
lo it has 2 blue parts where the monitor goes one at the top and one at the bottom sorry about the confusion
You're not being specific enough. Perhaps a pictorial version will help. Is your graphics card like this: or is your pc like this: But with a graphics card at the bottom as well?
i will upload some pictures when i get in so it ill be easier but at the top there is the mouse keyboard monitor usb ports etc and at the bottom ther is one blue 1 for the monitor and one for s-video
So there is only one blue one? That means you don't have built in GFX, and your video card is probably bad. Did you check to see if windows starts up? Turn on the speakers, see if you can hear the start up sound.
there are 2 blue one at top and one at bottom when i turn it on it says no signal on the monitor no sound no nothing
pizat, according to the link you posted for your motherboard, you have on board video card. Graphics - Integrated Real 256E 3D Graphics - Memory Max. 64MB
yes as it has a black circle port for s-video next to the blue monitor one at the bottom is this what needs replacing to get my computer going again
Well pizat if it's the one on the bottom, I would say your card is dead. Try plugging it into the one at the top, see what happens. P.S. Are you sure your monitor is plugged in to the wall socket? (that part was just a little joke)
Well if you have tried the vga port on your card and nothing is happening, Yeah I would pick up a new card. But find out if you can return the card just incase it's not a problem with the card. Good Luck
Well that depends on how much you want to spend on a card and what you normally do with your computer.(gamer, movie watching, internet surfing, etc.) Lets us know.
