Online games is what settles it. If it's msn poker and eve online then you don't need a powerful one, if it's counter strike source, UT2004, Quake 4, Stalker, etc. you want a powerful one.

i have already got a Integrated Real 256E 3D Graphics - Memory Max. 64MB i am just wondering what i am actually looking for when i am going to buy a new graphics card

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=21782&vpn=256-A8-N542-T2&manufacture=eVGA This is a decent card for your needs, you will need a AGP card. I'm not sure where you live, but this is a canadian site.
i live in wakefield west yorkshire i am close to pc world maplin etc which will be easier to buy from
try taking the videocard from the agp slot if you have a card in there & just use the onboard videocard, the Integrated Real 256E 3D Graphics - Memory Max. 64MB
just tried and it is still doing the same should i get a new graphics card on the seperate graphics card it says GF MX4000 128DDR TV
Hehe, I'm on the other side of the county in York! The problem with Maplin and PC World is that they'll charge you a fortune for individual components. Buy something like this: http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=466649 Before you say that's expensive, bear in mind Maplin will happily charge you £70 for a 6200, which is a quarter of the speed of the 7600GS.
that is the price range i was going to pay but if it does not fit into my computer would i be able to return it as this is what i am worried about buying one and not being able to return it? would you reccomend this for what i use my pc for
