    howdy folks.
    i need a little help!
i have got the hang of a bin & cue burning no probs.
however when the format is iso i struggle to burn.
i unpack all contents with isobuster and place them in a folder then using nero i use track at once etc...
however it seems to load onto the psx goes past all the opening screens the nothing!
however on unpacking into my pc folder i noticed that the size of the iso is 539.000Mb
    but unpacked its 129.000Mb.
any idea what is going on.
help with this will result in me loving you.
    thanks fellas

i honestly don't understand volume labels etc....
but what your saying is i use cloneand just burn the image using iso as the image.
and the cd will have the contents.of the iso.
bear in mind i'm not ripping a cd but these are backup files i obtained from the web.
i thought clone was for cd-cd only not image to cd.

    In Nero

    Click file - burn image

    In CloneCD

Click the "write from image file" button

Dont unpack nothing especially with psx games!

i think i understand all this.
however as i say when i have a cue and bin file
there are no problems at all but when i try to burn the image as an iso file it never works.
it doesnt seem to unpack on to the cd.
    for example
if i burn a cd using cue and bin, after it's done i put it in the cd drive and open it and there is the usual files etc...
when i burn an iso image it doesnt have any items on the cd but claims there are for example 539mb used,0 free and ultimatley the cd doesnt load.
i have also tried clone but when i try to grab the iso it just looks for a clone image and this cant be changed.

I know i'm being either dumb or a pain but thanks to you all for this help.

Alcohol 120% will burn it for you! Right click and click add image, add the iso, then select it and click image burning wizared, change datatype to Play Station and then everything should be fine!!

I have the same problems and used Alcohol 120% as you recommended.
Now the Playstation loads the game, but the movies and the music are not playing.
I checked the cd-r on my PC and the folders for XA and STR were empty.
    What can I do?

Actually I got it from emule. It is the japanese version of a game I already posess.
And like I said, everything worked well with alcohol 120%, except for the movies and music are not plaing because the XA and STR folders are empty.
I guess alcohol 120% didn't extract the files correctly, cause I checked the content of the iso file with cdmage and the music and movie files are there, they just weren't extracted correctly it seems.

Uuh, don't know about the names of the usual PSX modchips, but it worked all the time pretty well.
Meanwhile I tried again to burn the file and chose the "correct the sub channel data" option, now only the str files are missing and the XA folder is full.
But the music still isn't working.
I don't know what to do anymore, Nero and Discjuggler dind't work either.

hmmm ok, that is the thing about downloaded stuff, you often run into problems, backups are much better because it can be read and written from the same drive. Ok hmm, so, what programs exactly have you tried so far??
