Hello been looking into getting a dvix stand alone player , probally philips 642. My question is if anyone for sure, has burnt 5 or 6 divx onto a dvd r , and then poped it into their player. Does it work just fine? Is each movie just a seperate track? Do you burn as Data disk? Thanks in advance
Sometimes it plays xvid funky, pixelated but you just hit the system button twice (leave to system menu and return) and it clears up that problem. 4-5 movies would fit on a 4.7gb disc if you want decent quality. Yes, you just burn a data disc. The dvp642 shows you the root folder and files contained on the disc. You simply scroll to the movie you want and hit okay on the remote. I really like this player and it was a steal @ $63 from amazon.com
