is there any way that i can put the Xbox HDD into a pc and look at the files on it? i work in Computer Forensics and we have had a batch of Xboxes come in that need examining - i know that somewhere along the lines they will need unlocking but i dont know how to do it as i dont have my own xbox - plus as forensic workers we are not meant to change the data on a HDD - so installing on to the disks are not an option - any ideas on how i could view the files?

well, this is just me talking, so Im not sure if this will work, but it makes sense to me. Turn on the xbox, then remove the HD when it has finished booting up. After that, the HD should be unlocked, so, it should read fine. I cant think of any other way. If you need to put the xbox HD back in, you cant turn off the xbox, or you wont be able to re-lock it. Hope that helps.
