Apologies if this is the wrong forum but this appears to be the closest Forum Topic to what my query relates to

I have a PVR (technika freeview 8320... its a UK device in case you haven't heard of it)
It has an ethernet port for use of transferring recorded TV shows to your PC. The problem is I have no idea how to set it up.

I've connected the ethernet cable to my PC... but where is the other end supposed to go? I do not have any free ethernet ports in my PC, so is it meant to go into my router? I am completely flummoxed as to how my PC is meant to see the recordings.

Anyone have any ideas? The instruction manual has nothing on it at all
