hey Just asking if with this SoftAP hack... can thing like laptops pick up the wifi signal and use the internet? Because im thinking of getting a router but i wont get one is this hack can be used as the router. thanks
If I understand what you are asking the answer is yes. The whole purpose of the hack is to turn the USB dongle from something that uses drivers/software that works only with a DS to a dongle that works with anything. For a home network and regular home usage, I would think you would want to give consideration to a router. They are dead easy to install and will probably provide better signal strength and throughput for a laptop. If you got a router, you could let a laptop access the Net that way, and just let your DS access it through an unmodified dongle. HTH.
