If I were to rip a DVD that has either Dolby 5.1 or DTS would the copy burnt on my computer also be in 5.1 or do I have to do someting to the ripped file on my hard drive?

    Hi Kyliefan1,

If you have the "special" DTS amp then by all means include it inm your download. Most, myself included just download the Dolby 5.1 and enjoy that sound.

Not sure what you mean by doing "something" to the files on your HD BUT as I have a 5.1 LIVE SoundBlaster sound card and a small amp with a small sub-woofer and some extra speakers, I enjoy surround sound not only in my living room but on my PC too.

Does that answer your question ? If you download it, it's yours :)

    Cheers,

    Pete
