Will a PAL back-up DVD play just the same as a NTSC back-up burned to a dvd-r. I'm located in the USA and play most of my DVD movies off my XboX. Thanks in advance...

yes, as long as your tv is capable of displaying a pal image (switchable) it will work fine.
If its not cabable the back up will still play, but in b&w or be off screen. In which case you will have to re-author it

You would be very unlucky or have a really old TV for it not to be PAL and NTSC display. Remember if it doesnt work, check your TV manual on how to switch signals. (most TV's do this automatically) Your Xbox fortunately is PAL/NTSC/SECAM. If you want to go to the trouble of PAL/NTSC conversion, this forum is the best guide I've seen.
