Okay... I'm done with Mcafee on my computer its way out dated like two years old haha so i have no virus protection which really doesnt bother me but ill get to the point. Ive previously tried to remove mcafee which was a big mistake it blocked all my ports n such for email and internet i just ended up reinstalling it. That put me nowhere anyone have any tips or how to's on how to totally remove mcafee without dealing with all the other shit it throws at you? Thanks in advance
how were you removing mcafee, thru add/remove programs or the uninstall? is it the virus program or the suite program you have??
i've been using mcafee at work and at home for 3or more years without problem. Have uninstalled it numerous times etc without issue. At worst i would uninstall it and use regedit to manually remove all references to it (long and unsafe method) but i think you're mistaking it for other software as it won't mess with ports and stuff - that's down to firewall programs
lol nah sry im pretty sure i know what im talking about becuase i have talked to a mcafee so called "rep" which was bullshit becuase he had no idea what he was saying. ANYWAYS it does block the ports i had to do a clean install etc all that bullshit you know. THIS is the virus program it DOES block the email and internet ports. I was unable to access my internet totally. THe program is no longer on the add/remove programs list. But, yet when i start up my computer it still starts up as if ive never messsed with it. i also previously went through and picked out all the "listings" or watever you want to call them out of the registry. start run regedit yes i know i did that thanks though! Any other suggestions im pretty fed up with mcafee. THANKS!
nah i fucked up guys sry bout that i had the security center i got a hold of the bastards at mcafee n got rid of the shit finally thanks for all the help see ya around... THANKS!
