Question..Which is better deal?

    nope, won't even highlight second set of settings says under current setting "UNKNOWN Failed!"

    i don't know, you may have one of a kind drive as you are the only one i have ever heard not needing hacked firmware for bitsetting
    i am not a fan of +R discs, but i use the hacked 3.04 which is basically the original firmware from Mad Dog (I think) but with bitsetting. i don't really care for being able to overspeed media because i prefer quality over speed.


    maybe someone else with a 3520 can try???

    The Ide plextors are around $120. I have two sata plextors and they are great in performance and price $60 with rebate. Although they can't burn dual layer, but burning dual layer is to pricey (10.00 each disc).

    Believe it or not I have seen the dual layers down to 3.00 and change US currency. They will become the standard for a short while then going to blue ray...
