i've just had to re-install windows and format my whole laptop as i tried to install linux on it. but it screwed up. so not i can't connect to the internet but i don't know how to connect to my wireless modem. how do i do this?
Before connecting, make sure you've installed the chipset drivers, as well and any NIC drivers for the ethernet card. Same goes for the wireless adapter.
Is it a preinstalled wireless card? , Sometimes you find that you get a cd with your wireless modem with the wireless drivers. Always good to keep around the house for cases like this.
